A man in the store will offer to sell the player the remaining Mega Stones for the two Kantofirst partner Pokémon they did not receive from Professor Sycamore. The price of these Mega Stones begins at $1,000,000 but will decrease as the player becomes more stylish, eventually being available for only $10,000. After entering the Hall of Fame, the owner will first offer the Mega Stone for the Kanto first partner Pokémon that is super effective against the one chosen by the player.
Mega Stones can only be purchased once. The Mega Stone that corresponds to the first partner Pokémon which the player chose at the beginning of the game (either Meganiumite, Emboarite, or Feraligite) will not be available for purchase, as it is given to the player by AZ instead. The other two will be on sale only after completing the main story.
In Pokémon X and Y, an old man in the Stone Emporium says, "Ore, ore, ore... Ores that I adore! Ah, this is where you should laugh...", heavily suggesting that he is the ore maniac from Black, White, Black 2, and White 2, who says the same thing when met for the first time.
